Easy Potato Masala Curry

Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 4 nos Potato — cut into cubes
- 1 nos Onion — chopped
- 1 nos Tomato — chopped
- 3 nos Green chillies — slit
- 1 cup Coconut — grated
- Curry leaves, a few
- 3 tsp Coriander powder
- 2 tsp Chilly powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
- Salt A s reqd
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Easy Potato Masala Curry, heat a kadai and add coconut, coriander and chilly powder.
Step 2
Fry till color changes.
Step 3
When cool, grind it and set aside.
Step 4
Pour oil into a pan and heat it, fry cumin seeds, onion, green chillies, curry leaves, ginger-garlic paste and turmeric powder.
Step 5
Add the ground coconut paste and salt. cook the masala well.
Step 6
Add potato pieces and add little water and cook them in pressure cooker.
Step 7
A good Easy Potato Masala Curry recipe is ready. Suitable with chapathi/idly.
Tip
For a thicker gravy, cook uncovered on medium heat for the last few minutes. For a thinner consistency, add a splash of warm water.
