Drumstick Stir Fry
Drumstick stir fry is a tasty and easy dish prepared by using drumstick.Drumstick is a commonly used vegetable in South Indian cooking. It is inevitable in Kerala& Tamil Nadu Sambar recipe. Here is a quick drum stick recipe which goes well with rice.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 2 nos Drumstick cut in to length wise
- Turmeric powder a pinch
- Coriander leaves little
- Salt, to taste
- Coconut half cup — grated
- 1 Or Green chilly
- 1/2 tsp Fennel seed
- 1/2 tsp Mustard
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 11/2 cup Water
Preparation
Step 1
Cook the drumstick with turmeric powder,salt and water as needed.
Step 2
Grind the coconut with fennel seed and green chilly.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a vrssel and add mustard into it,when it starts allow to crackle add cooked drumstick and grinded coconut.Fold everything together gently and cook it, stirring for a minute.
Step 4
Drumstick stir fry is ready to serve.
Tip
A heavy-bottomed pan or cast iron skillet gives you the best results for a proper Kerala fry. Thin pans burn the spices before the meat dries.
