Drumstick Flower Cutlet
Coated in a well-seasoned batter and fried to a deep golden colour — the crunch is the whole point. Serve with a cup of strong black tea and watch them disappear.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 1 cup Drumstick flowers — chopped
- 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 1/2 cup Onion — finely chopped
- 1 cup Potato cooked and — mashed
- 3 Springs Coriander leaves — finely chopped
- 2 Cloves Garlic — finely chopped
- 1 inch Ginger — finely chopped
- 3 nos Green chillies — finely chopped
- Bread crumbs, to taste
- Egg beaten
- Oil, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing drumstick flower cutlet, fry onions and green chillies in oil.
Step 2
Drop in ginger, garlic and drumstick flowers. Fry well. 3)Then add coriander leaves, garam masala, pepper powder and salt. Fry well and take it off the heat.
Step 3
Mix this above mixture to the mashed potatoes.
Step 4
Make cutlet`s out of the mixture. Then dip it in egg and then in bread crumbs.
Step 5
Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the cutlet`s.
Step 6
Drumstick flower cutlet`s are ready. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
Tip
Oil temperature is critical. Too hot and the outside burns before the inside cooks. Too cool and the snack absorbs oil and turns soggy.
