Dates Bonda
an easy and also a simple snack prepared during the time of Iftar. Dates are a good source of various vitamins and minerals. It is a very healthy snack too.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 15 Dates remove the seeds
- 1/4 cup Maida flour
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- Of salt, a pinch
- Water, to taste
- Oil — for frying
Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl, add dates, maida flour, sugar and salt.
Step 2
Mix all the above ingredients with required water.
Step 3
Set a pan over medium heat and pour in the oil,fry each dates along with batter.Make sure dates are coated with batter. Dates Bonda is ready. Serve hot with a cup of tea or coffee.
Tip
Drain on a wire rack instead of paper towels — the rack keeps the bottom from getting steamy and losing its crispness.
