Curd Vada
A traditional Kerala sweet snack made with care and a generous hand of ghee. The kind of thing grandmothers make for festivals and grandchildren make excuses to visit for.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- Vada : 2 nos
- Curd : 1 piece
- Chat masala : to sprinkle
- Sev : to sprinkle
- Coriander, a few
Preparation
Step 1
In a serving bowl keep the vada.
Step 2
Pour the curd over the vada to completely close it. The vada will absorb so pour in excess.
Step 3
Sprinkle salt and chat masala.
Step 4
Sprinkle sev.
Step 5
Followed by the coriander and Serve right away or after 10 minutes.
Tip
Jaggery burns easily. Melt it on low heat and always strain it to remove grit before adding it to the mixture.
