Crab Curry
Crab curry is prepared by cooking crab pieces in ground coconut mixture, ginger-garlic paste and other ingredients.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 250 g Crab cubes
- 1 nos Onion — sliced
- ½ cup Coconut — grated
- ½ tsp Ginger paste
- 1 tsp Chilly powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Masala powder
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- ½ tsp Lime juice
- Oil
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
First grind the grated coconut and raw rice to a fine paste. Set aside.
Step 2
Set a pan over medium heat and pour in the oil and let the mustard seeds crackle. Add black gram dal and curry leaves.
Step 3
Stir in the onion pieces and cinnamon. cook well and fry.
Step 4
Add ginger-garlic paste, chilly powder, ground coconut mixture and required salt.
Step 5
Allow to boil and add the crab pieces. Cook with a covered lid in low heat till crab is done.
Step 6
Add coconut milk and lemon juice.
Step 7
Give it a good stir and cook in low flame for 2 minutes. Remove pan from fire.
Step 8
Delicious crab curry is ready. Serve hot.
Tip
Taste the gravy before adding the main ingredient. It should be well-seasoned and balanced on its own — the protein or vegetable will dilute it slightly.
