Crab Biryani With Cucumber Salad
A slow-assembled crab biryani where each grain of rice carries the aroma of cardamom, clove, and slow-cooked masala. Served with raita and pickle, it is a complete meal on its own.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 500 g Crab
- 1 kg Biryani rice
- 3 Tomato
- 3 Onion
- 3 Green chilly
- 1 tsp Ginger paste
- 1 tsp Garlic paste
- 2 tsp Biryani masala
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Pepper powder
- Coriander leaves, to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Heat the oil in a large vessel and sautT cardamom, cinnamon stick, onion and salt in it.
Step 2
Add tomato, green chilly, ginger and garlic paste. cook again.
Step 3
Add the cleaned and sliced crab, coriander leaves and all the masalas to it. Mix thoroughly by adding water as needed. Let it boil well.
Step 4
Once the curry boils, add the biryani rice, Stir everything together thoroughly and cook it covered for 20 minutes or till the water drains.
Step 5
Serve it hot with cucumber salad.

Toss it well.

Serve it with biryani.
Tip
Seal the pot with dough or a tight-fitting lid during dum cooking. No steam should escape, or the rice will dry out.
