Coconut Fish Fry | Special Meen Fry
Slow-roasted in coconut oil with a generous hand of spices, this fish fry develops layers of flavour as it dries out on the pan. The patience pays off — every piece is coated and concentrated.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 5 nos Fish pieces
- 1 tsp Ginger — minced
- 2 tsp Garlic — minced
- 2 tbsp Cashew paste
- 2 tsp Chilly powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp Corn flour
- 2 tbsp Coconut — grated
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing coconut fish fry, first marinate the fish pieces with a mixture of ginger, garlic, chilly powder, turmeric, cashew paste and salt.
Step 2
Mix corn flour and coconut in plate.
Step 3
Dip the fish in this mixture and fry it in oil.
Step 4
Coconut Fish Fry, a Dish, is ready.
Tip
The final handful of curry leaves should go in right at the end, off the heat — they should crackle and crisp in the residual heat.
