Cocoa Bites
Cocoa powder blended with grated coconut, sugar, milk and other ingredients.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 3/4 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 11/4 cup Coconut — grated
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 2 tbsp Milk warm
- 1 tsp Ghee
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla essence
- Badam, as needed — finely chopped
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing cocoa bites, first heat a deep bottomed pan and cook grated coconut with sugar in low heat.
Step 2
Mix cocoa powder in milk and pour into the mixture.
Step 3
Keep stirring continuously in low heat.
Step 4
When water has evaporated completely and the mixture leaves the sides of the pan, add vanilla essence and remove from fire.
Step 5
Grease a plate with ghee and stir in the cocoa mixture. Press down uniformly with a spoon and garnish with chopped badam.
Step 6
When the cocoa mixture has cooled down completely, cut into desired shapes.
Step 7
Cocoa bites, a favorite with kids as well as elders, is ready.
Tip
Fresh curry leaves make a genuine difference. Dried curry leaves are a poor substitute — if you cannot get fresh ones, increase the quantity and fry them longer.
