Chocolate Rice Flakes Pudding | Chocolate Poha Pudding
This rice, also known as Chocolate Poha Pudding, is a delightful fusion of Indian ingredients with a modern chocolatey twist.
Ingredientsfor 7 servings
- 100 g Aval Rice Flakes, Beaten Rice, Flattened Rice
- 500 ml Milk
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Condensed milk
- 1/4 cup Almonds — chopped
- 10 nos Raisins
- 5 tbsp Corn flour
- 3 tbsp Ghee
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 2 tbsp Coco powder
Preparation
Step 1
Heat a pan, add sugar and ¼ cup water. Let the sugar melt.
Step 2
Next, add butter, rice flakes, raisins and chopped almonds.
Step 3
Roast for 5 minutes in low flame. Add it in to a pudding tray and set aside. Now the first layer of the pudding is ready.
Step 4
Get a saucepan add milk and vanilla essence.
Step 5
Add corn flour.
Step 6
Add cocoa powder.
Step 7
Add condensed milk.
Step 8
Add remaining 1/2 cup sugar and combine everything well.
Step 9
Cook in low to medium flame until it gets thick.
Step 10
Pour the mixture over the first layer. Refrigerate for 4-5 hours minimum.
Step 11
Garnish with some chopped almonds and raisins.
Tip
Soak the rice for at least 20 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking and prevents the grains from breaking.
