Chicken Rice
A one-pot rice dish that brings together grains, spices, and vegetables or meat in a single satisfying meal. The rice absorbs every flavour in the pot and comes out fragrant, colourful, and complete.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 300 - Fried chicken Chicken fried using chilli powder, turmeric, fennel seeds & salt
- 2 cup Rice
- 3 Spoons Oil
- 2 nos Tomato small
- 1 nos Onion big
- 2 nos Green chillies
- Chilli garlic sauce - 2 small spoons
- Garam masala A little
- Curry leaves A little
Preparation
Step 1
Pour oil in the cooker.
Step 2
Add onion, tomato, green chillies, curry leaves, garam masala and salt and fry well until tomatoes are fully cooked.
Step 3
Add fried chicken, 3 1/2 cups of water, 2 cups of rice and chilli-garlic sauce.
Step 4
Check salt.
Step 5
Give it a good stir and close the lid.
Step 6
Cook upto 1 whistle.
Step 7
Open when the pressure releases. Serve hot.
Tip
Marinate for at least 30 minutes if you can — the spices penetrate deeper and the chicken stays juicier.
