Chicken Masala Curry
There are endless variations in chicken curry.Masala chicken curry is a very simple chicken curry prepared with some basic ingredients.The only diffrence is here I use pepper powder instead of chilly powder to get a high spice level for this curry.ch.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 500 g Chicken
- 1 large Onion
- 2 Tomato
- 1 Large, potato
- 2 Green chilly
- 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 21/2 tsp Pepper powder
- 1 Tbp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Chicken masala
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- Coriander leaves, a few
- Curry leaves, a few
Preparation
Step 1
Gather and prep all your ingredients before you begin.
Step 2
Mix the spice powders and salt to taste together.coat the chicken with this mixture and allow to marinate it for half an hour.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and cook onion for 3-4 minutes.
Step 4
Add tomato,green chilly,ginger garlic paste,potato,curry leves and coriander leaves.cook it, stirring for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
Add marinated chicken pieces and 1/2 cup water.let it go for 3 whistles and take it off the heat.
Step 6
Spicy Chicken masala curry is ready.
Tip
The oil separating from the masala is your signal that the base is properly cooked. Do not add the main ingredient before you see those pools of oil on the surface.
