Chicken Loaf
A robust chicken preparation where the meat absorbs a pounding of Kerala spices and slow-cooked onions. The curry leaves and coconut oil make it unmistakably from this part of the world.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- Chicken breast half kg
- Onion 1
- Tomato 1
- Green chilly 5
- Garam masala powder 1 tsp
- Pudina leaves 10 leaves
- Coriander leaves 1 sprig
- Salt, to taste
- Garlic 6 cloves
- Ginger 1 inch piece
- Bread 4
- Oil 1 table spoon
Preparation
Step 1
Clean chicken breast.
Step 2
Mince it well and place in the bowl of microwave.
Step 3
All ingredients should be thin sliced.
Step 4
Pour all ingredients to the bowl.
Step 5
Crush the bread using hands, pour garam masala and salt also.
Step 6
Start mixing and pour oil in every side of the bowl so that our chicken loaf wont get sticked at sides.
Step 7
When its mixed well,keep this in the microwave oven and heat for 40 minutes.
Step 8
Check whether our chicken loaf is ready or not. When its ready.
Step 9
Get out the chicken loaf from the bowl and place to another plate (so it will be easy to slice it).
Step 10
Slice it according to your wish.
Step 11
Our loaf is ready to serve.
Step 12
Get it along with tomato sauce.
Tip
Bone-in chicken gives a richer, more flavourful gravy than boneless. The marrow flavours the curry as it cooks.
