Chicken Curry In Coconut Milk
This is a special chicken curry,in this chilly powder is used for tadka only.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 20 To Onions small
- 2 nos Garlic
- 1 piece Ginger small
- 11/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 tbsp Chilly powder
- 2 tsp Garam masala
- 4 cup Coconut thick milk
- Coconut pieces A little
- 4 Or Red chilly
- Mustard seeds A littile
- 750 g Chicken
- Curry leaves As rqrd
- Salt, as needed
- 4 nos Green chilly
- Coriander leaves — optional
Preparation
Step 1
Cook small onion,when it get littile brown.
Step 2
Add garlic and ginger,green chilly.
Step 3
Cook again and add turmeric and coriander powder and garam masala.
Step 4
Add chicken to it along with coconut thin milk.
Step 5
Cook for about 30 minutes in a low flame.
Step 6
After the chicken is cooked properly add thick coconut milk and salt.
Step 7
Heat few oil in a small tava for making tadka.
Step 8
Add mustard,curry leaves,coconut pieces,red chilly.
Step 9
Turn off the heat and add chilly powder.
Step 10
Add this tadka to the chicken.
Tip
Let the curry rest for at least 15 minutes after cooking — the flavours deepen as it sits. Reheated curry almost always tastes better than fresh.
