Cherupayar Puzhukku In Naadan Style

Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- Cherupayar (boiled) : 1 big cup
- Onion : 1 small
- Tomato :1 medium
- Mustard seeds, a few
- Curry leaves : 2 leaves
- Ginger garlic paste : 1 tsp
- Chilly powder : 1 tsp
- Coriander powder : 1 ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder : ¼ tsp
Preparation
Step 1
Pour oil into a pan and heat it. let the mustard seeds crackle.
Step 2
Add curry leaves.
Step 3
Add onion and ginger garlic paste.
Step 4
Add chilly and turmeric and coriander powder.
Step 5
When onion is half done, add tomato also.
Step 6
Add cherupayar and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 7
Finally add grinded coconut also. Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 8
Cherupayar puzhukku is ready.
Tip
Jaggery burns easily. Melt it on low heat and always strain it to remove grit before adding it to the mixture.
