Cheera Thoran
A kerala dish where the thoran is made with cheera leaves. It goes well with rice.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 250 g Cheera
- 1/4 piece Onion
- 1 Teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 Teaspoon Kaduku
- 3 Green chillies
- 2 Tablespoon Grated coconut
- Salt for taste
- Curry leaves
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Add oil to a pan. Then add kaduku to boiled oil and add onion, green chilli and curry leaves one by one and sorte well till brown.
Step 2
Next, add cheera to the same. Sourte well till the water in it fried out.
Step 3
Add grated coconut to the same and mix it well.
Step 4
Cheera Thoran is ready.
Tip
Shred the vegetable as fine as you can — the thinner the cuts, the better the thoran. A sharp knife makes all the difference.
