Chakka Madhura Curry
A delocious traditiona jackfruit payasam with ripe jackfruit.Ripe jackfruit cooked with jaggery,cardamom, rice balls and coconut milk enhance the flavour of fresh ripe jackfruit.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 10 Jackfruit
- 2 cup Rice flour
- 200 g Jaggery
- 3 Cardamom
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seed
- Salt pinch
Preparation
Step 1
Cut the ripe jackfruit into small pieces and remove the seeds.
Step 2
Mix rice flour with water and a pinch of salt to make the dough.make small balls/any shape out of it.
Step 3
Melt jaggery in enough water.
Step 4
Add rice balls and add water if it is required.
Step 5
Add chopped ripe jackfruit and Continue cooking for 20 to 25 minutes.
Step 6
Add coconut milk, Bring to a gentle boil and take it off the heat.
Step 7
Chakka madhura curry is ready to serve.
Tip
Coconut oil and curry leaves at the very end, off the heat, give the curry its characteristic Kerala aroma. Never skip this final step.
