Carrot Dahi
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 3 nos Carrots
- 1/4 cup Curd
- 1 small Coconut — grated
- 1 small Ginger
- 3 nos Green chillies
- 1 pinch Cumin seeds
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Grate the carrots finely 2)Grind all the ingredients listed for grinding using little water and set aside. 3)Heat a vessel and add the grated carrots and a little water.
Step 2
Cook until the carrots become slender. :- It takes around 7-10 minutes.
Step 3
Add the grinded paste and boil.
Step 4
Finally, lower the flame, add the curd and give it a good stir.
Step 5
Remove from fire and serve!
