Capsi Green Chicken
Its a new style of chicken curry .its spicy and have thick gravy.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- Chicken 1 kg
- Capsicum 2
- Onion 2
- Ginger garlic 1 tablespoon
- Tomato 1
- Coconut half
- Turmeric powder 2 tsp
- Chilly powder 2 tsp
- Garam masala 2 tsp
- Coriander powder 2 tsp
- Curry leaves 1 sprig
- Perumjeeragam 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves a bunch
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Place a pan on the stove and add coconut and fennel seeds to it.
Step 2
Give it a good stir and when its half brown.
Step 3
Add a pinch of coriander powder, half tsp of turmeric powder and 1 tsp of chilly powder.
Step 4
Give it a good stir for 2 to 5 seconds and then when its cooled grind it using a mixer.
Step 5
Heat another pan or a kadai and add oil and when the oil is hot add ginger and garlic then cook it, stirring well.
Step 6
Stir in tomato and curry leaves to it and give it a good stir.
Step 7
Add the chicken to it and also add garam masala also to it.
Step 8
Give it a good stir and add little water to it.
Step 9
Close the pan for some time and when all the water gets out of the chicken.
Step 10
Add the grinded mixture to it.
Step 11
Give it a good stir and make the grinded mixture distribute equally.
Step 12
Close the pan for 5 minute,then add the capsicum to it.
Step 13
Then close the pan and allow it to get cooked.
Step 14
Our dish is ready,transfer to the serving dish.
Step 15
Pour some coriander leaves also before serving.
Tip
Marinate for at least 30 minutes if you can — the spices penetrate deeper and the chicken stays juicier.
