Cabbage Stir Fry - SImple Curry
Cabbage, chana dal and other ingredients are stir fried together.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Cabbage — chopped
- 1/2 tbsp Chana dal
- 1 tsp Urad dal uzunuparippu
- 1 nos Green chilly — slit
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Chilly powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Asafoetida A pinch (Kayam)
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- Sugar A pinch
- 1 tsp Coriander leaves
- 1/2 tbsp Oil
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Cook cabbage in boiling water with salt and turmeric for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Step 2
Heat oil let the mustard seeds crackle, chana dal, green chilly and asafoetida. Fry for few minutes.
Step 3
Add boiled cabbage, red chilly powder, coriander powder and Put the lid on and cook for 3 minutes.
Step 4
Now, add salt, sugar and curry leaves.
Step 5
Fry the cabbage till brown in color. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Step 6
Cabbage stir fry, an easy and Cabbage recipe is ready.
Tip
For a thicker gravy, cook uncovered on medium heat for the last few minutes. For a thinner consistency, add a splash of warm water.
