Cabbage-Chicken Curry
This homestyle chicken curry is built on a foundation of shallots fried dark in coconut oil and spices toasted until they release their full aroma. It tastes even better the next morning, spooned over cold leftover rice.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 2 nos Chicken cubes
- 3 cup Cabbage — sliced
- 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 nos Onion — sliced
- 2 nos Green chillies
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 3 tbsp Coconut oil
- 1 piece Ginger — sliced
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 2 nos Tomato — sliced
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing cabbage-chicken curry, fry onion, ginger and green chillies in oil.
Step 2
Add chilly powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder to it and fry again.
Step 3
Add the cabbage to it, Stir everything together thoroughly & Put the lid on and cook for few minutes.
Step 4
Add the powdered chicken cubes, tomato and Put the lid on and cook for some more time.
Step 5
Take it off the heat. and serve hot.
Step 6
Cabbage-chicken curry is ready.

Tip
Marinate for at least 30 minutes if you can — the spices penetrate deeper and the chicken stays juicier.
