Bread Vattiyathu
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 5 nos Bread slices
- 1 cup Coconut milk
- 2½ tbsp Sugar
- 1 nos Cardamom
- 1 nos Egg
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Mix the coconut milk with egg, sugar and cardamom powder.
Step 2
Cover the bread with the above batter.
Step 3
Heat 1-2 tsp oil in a non-stick pan.
Step 4
Place the bread pieces in it and fry both sides till brown in color.
Step 5
Serve as a evening snack.
Tip
