Bread Mukki Porichathu Within 15 Minutes
Kerala-style dry fry where egg is cooked down until all the moisture evaporates and what remains is intensely flavoured, slightly caramelised, and impossibly moreish. Best with parotta or plain rice.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- Bread : 5 nos — sliced
- Egg : 2 nos
- All purpose flour : 2 tsp
- Sugar : 3 tsp
- Salt : ½ tsp
- Milk : 2 tsp
- Oil or ghee : 1 tsp
Preparation
Step 1
Slice the bread in to four or two.
Step 2
To the egg add all purpose flour, sugar, milk,salt.
Step 3
Mix it well.
Step 4
Soak the bread in to the batter.
Step 5
Then heat a pan add oil or ghee in it and fry the soaked bread in it.
Step 6
Make the both sides brown.
Step 7
Repeat the process.
Step 8
Then serve hot.
Step 9
It’s a very easy sweet snacks will take only 15 minutes.
Tip
Frying the boiled eggs briefly before adding to the curry gives them a golden skin that holds up better in the gravy.
