Bread Chicken Cake-Bread Stuffed With Chicken Masala
Bread Chicken Cake Is a Malabar ifthar snack prepared with bread and chicken.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1 Pack Bread
- 5 Eggs
- 250 g Chicken boneless
- 2 large Onion
- 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 4 Green chilly
- 1 Hand Coriander leaves — chopped
- 1/4 tsp Garam masala
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 3/4 tsp Pepper powder
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Marinate the chicken pieces in red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. fry it until golden brown and mince it.
Step 2
Warm the oil in a pan and add ginger garlic paste and cook for 10 seconds. Add onion and salt. cook until lightly browned.
Step 3
Add turmeric powder, pepper powder, garam masala and stir for a few seconds.
Step 4
Add minced chicken and chopped coriander leaves. Fold everything together gently and take it off the heat after 2 minutes.
Step 5
In a spacious mixing bowl, and add eggs, pepper powder and salt to taste. Dip each bread slice completely in the egg mixture.
Step 6
Spread some ghee/oil in a saucepan. Layer the egg dipped bread slices in the saucepan and add chicken filling. Again dip each bread slice in the egg mixture and layer it above the chicken filling. Pour rest of the egg mix on edges and top. Start to heat the sauce pan and cook it in low flame for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 7
Flip it into the pan and cook the other side for 5 minutes in very low flame and turn off the heat.
Step 8
Bread Chicken Cake is ready.
Tip
When working with jaggery, always melt and strain it first. Even the best quality jaggery has some grit that needs to be removed.
