Beef Varuthathu
A kerala dish which is favourite of most of the families. It goes well with parotta, rice.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 200 g Beef
- 1 Tablespoon Chilli powder
- 1 Teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 Teaspoon Garam masala
- 1 cup Water
- Salt for taste
- 2 Tablespoon Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt to the beef and set aside for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Put the same in a cooker with water in high flame and Let it cook for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Add oil to the pan and add the boiled beef to the boiled oil.
Step 4
Add garam masala to the beef and cook well.
Step 5
Fry them in the oil till brown colour appears.
Tip
Thin strips cook faster and develop more crispy surface area than thick cubes. Cut against the grain for tenderness.
