Beef Chunk Roast
It's a flavourful and tender comforting Roast recipe with beef.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 300 g Beef
- 21/2 tsp Red chilly powder
- 3/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 1 tsp Garlic
- 2 Tomato
- 3 Green chilly
- 1 cup Shallots
- 1 tbsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 2 tbsp Coriander powder
- 3 tbsp Coconut pieces
- 2 tsp Coconut oil
- Curry leaves few springs
Preparation
Step 1
Gather and prep all your ingredients before you begin.
Step 2
Get a pressure cooker and add beef,red chilly powder,turmeric powder,salt and crushed ginger.pour 1/2 cup water and pressure let it go for 6-7 whistles.
Step 3
In the mean time dry Roast the coriander powder for 3-4 minutes in low flame.
Step 4
Now the beef is well cooked,then add tomato,green chilly,shallots,garlic, roasted coriander powder,garam masala and Continue cooking for 5 to 8 minutes in medium flame.
Step 5
Pour oil into a pan and heat it and add 2 tbsp chopped shallots,dried red chilly and curry leaves.stir for a few seconds.
Step 6
Add it to the cooked beef and take it off the heat.
Step 7
Serve it with pathiri,dosa,poratta etc.
Tip
The coconut pieces should get slightly crispy along with the beef. They add a textural contrast that makes the dish.
