Beef Chukka | Kerala Beef Chukka
There is no shortcut to good Kerala beef. The spices are toasted, the shallots are browned, and the meat is given the time it needs to become tender and deeply flavoured.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1 kg Beef
- 2 nos Onion
- 2 nos Tomato
- 7 nos Green chilly — sliced
- 1 tsp Ginger — crushed
- 1 tsp Garlic — crushed
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- 21/2 tbsp Red chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- Curry leaves, a few
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp Oil
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing the delicious and awesome dish, first clean and wash the beef nicely.
Step 2
Marinate beef with red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt for half an hour.
Step 3
Transfer into a pressure cooker. Cook till 5-6 whistles come or until the beef is cooked well.
Step 4
Warm the oil in a pan and fry beef well.
Step 5
Set a pan over medium heat and pour in the oil and cook crushed ginger, garlic and curry leaves for few seconds and remove into a plate.
Step 6
Add onion with salt and cook until lightly browned.
Step 7
Add tomato, green chilly and sauteed ginger, garlic, curry leaves. cook it, stirring for 3-4 minutes.
Step 8
Add fried beef, lemon juice, garam masala and Stir everything together thoroughly. take it off the heat.
Step 9
Beef chukka is ready. This is a very Beef dish and it goes well with almost anything. You can easily prepare the dish at home.the beef dish. Chart it out in your menu plan and when guests arrive you can treat them.
Tip
The coconut pieces should get slightly crispy along with the beef. They add a textural contrast that makes the dish.
