Beef Chatti Pathiri

- 250 g Beef
- 1 tbsp Ginger — chopped
- 1 tbsp Garlic — chopped
- 1 nos Onion — sliced
- Coriander leaves, a few
- Curry leaves, a few
- 3 nos Egg
- 6 nos Chappathis(Thin Cooked
- 1 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Chilly powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tbsp Ghee
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing the dish, first marinate the beef in red chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt to taste. Cook it in a pressure cooker for 5-6 whistles or until cooked.
Step 2
Mince the cooked beef and set aside.
Step 3
Set a kadai over medium heat and pour in the oil and add crushed ginger, garlic and curry leaves.
Step 4
Next, add sliced onion and cook, stirring often, for a few minutes. Finally add minced beef, chopped coriander leaves and Fold everything together gently.
Step 5
Turn off the heat and keep it ready.
Step 6
Whisk 3 eggs with 1/2 tsp pepper powder and required salt. Dip a cooked chappathi in the egg mixture and place it on a greased saucepan as a first layer. Spread the beef filling evenly over the chappathi.
Step 7
Dip the second crepe in the egg, Place it over the Beef filling. Repeat the process till 6 chappathis (the top layer should be a chappathi) are arranged. If you have beaten eggs remaining, pour it over the topmost crepe layer. Drizzle with 2 tbsp of ghee over the top layer. Cover the pan with its lid and cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Cook till the bottom layer has turned light golden in color. Flip it over and cook for another 5 minutes.

Spicy and delicious Beef Chatti Pathiri snack dish is ready.
Tip
The coconut pieces should get slightly crispy along with the beef. They add a textural contrast that makes the dish.
