Beef 65
A scrumptious dish that serves well as a starter or side dish in Indian Cuisine. If you are looking for crispy beef fries, then this is the dish for you. Beef pieces are tasty, crispy and succulent on the inside.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 1/2 kg Beef small cubes
- 1 nos Onion rings
- 4 nos Green chillies
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Chilly powder
- 1 tsp Pepper powder
- 1 cup Gram flour
- 1/2 cup Rice flour
- 1 nos Lime juice
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, to taste
- Curry leaves, a few
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Red colour A pinch
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing the delicious dish, first marinate beef with salt, garam masala, 1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder and chilly powder.
Step 2
Keep it for 1 hour.
Step 3
Pressure cook the beef. Drain the full water.
Step 4
Mix gram flour, rice flour, pepper, color and 1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste.
Step 5
Stir everything together thoroughly with some water and keep it(use very little water.).
Step 6
Dip the beef pieces in the gram flour mix and fry it in oil.
Step 7
Drain and set aside.
Step 8
Set a pan on the stove, heat the fried oil. Add the green chillies, onion and curry leaves. Immediately add the fried beef. Squeeze lime juice on top.
Step 9
The crispy beef fry is ready.
Tip
Pressure cooking first saves time, but do not skip the dry-roasting step after — that is where the Kerala beef fry gets its signature dark, caramelised crust.
