Banana Dosa
Golden-brown and lightly crisp, this dosa is the kind of breakfast that works on busy mornings and lazy weekends alike. The batter keeps well in the fridge for two to three days.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 250 g Allpurpose flour Maida
- 4 nos Bananas — mashed
- 1 nos Egg
- 75 g Sugar
- 2 g Cardamom powder (Elakka)
- 1/4 tsp Baking powder
- 11/2 glass Milk
- 50 g Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Beat the egg well and add sugar, milk and mashed bananas. (These ingredients can also be mixed in a blender.).
Step 2
Get the maida in a bowl and the above mixture into it.
Step 3
Stir everything together thoroughly to form a dosa batter.
Step 4
Add cardamom powder and baking powder to the batter and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 5
Heat a flat pan and make thin dosas.
Step 6
Fry on both sides until golden brown with little oil.
Step 7
Serve while still hot with any juice.
Tip
Frying the boiled eggs briefly before adding to the curry gives them a golden skin that holds up better in the gravy.
