Banana Ball
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- Half ripened banana : 2 nos
- Egg : 1 no
- Coconut : 1/2 no
- Sugar : 1 cup
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Half boil banana in some water for some time.
Step 2
Crush them in a mixer grinder.
Step 3
Mix them well with egg and coconut.
Step 4
Make small balls with the mixture.
Step 5
Put almond one by one on it.
Step 6
Fry them in oil and serve them.
Tip
Hard-boil the eggs first, then make shallow cuts on the surface before adding them to the gravy — this lets the masala flavour penetrate inside.
