Avoli Porichathu
Avoli plichathu is the most sought after Kerala delicacy. Avoli is a particular variety of fish which is mostly available in all districts of Kerala. This fish fry is prepared with the special marination of fish.
Ingredientsfor 1 servings
- 2 Pomfret fish aavoli
- 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 Tbs Chilly powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Curry leaves -, to taste
- Garam masala pinch
- 2 Green chilly paste
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Mix all the ingredients, except fish in 2 tablespoon of water. Marinate the fish with the masala and keep for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Pour oil into a kadai and heat it and fry in it.
Step 3
Serve it.
Tip
A heavy-bottomed pan or cast iron skillet gives you the best results for a proper Kerala fry. Thin pans burn the spices before the meat dries.
