Apple Break
A home-style Kerala dish made with care and the kind of spice knowledge that comes from watching someone else cook it a hundred times. Each step matters, and the result is worth the effort.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 2 nos Apples — cut into cubes
- 1 cup Sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup Milk powder
- Ice, to taste — crushed
- Sugar, to taste
- 2 cup Milk
- Chocolate drink powder Milo, Bournvita, Horlicks
- Almonds(Badam
- Saffron strands
Preparation
Step 1
Put the apple cubes, sugar and milk into a processor and blend it.
Step 2
Slowly add milk powder, crushed ice and condensed milk into the mixer and beat once again.
Step 3
Pour them into the serving glasses.
Step 4
Sprinkle the chocolate drink powder.
Step 5
Garnish with thinly sliced almonds and a little saffron.
Tip
Do not rush the onion and shallot frying. The difference between pale onions and properly browned onions is the difference between a flat dish and a flavourful one.
