Ammachi Chicken Roast
This is a thani naadan dish using chicken ,i seen this recipe in a show called cucumber city and i tried it and used spices as per my taste ,it came out with a nice taste and my family loved it, so i thought to share it with you all.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- For grilling
- Ginger 1 inch piece(make paste of it
- Garlic 3 cloves(make paste
- Kashmiri chilly powder 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- Curd 2 tablespoon
- Salt, to taste
- Oil 1 tablespoon
- For roast
- Mustard 1 tsp
- Dried red chilly 3
- Onion 1
- Green chilly 3
- Tomato 1
- Cinnamon 2 pieces
- Cardamom 3
- Clove 5
- Pepper 5
- Coriander powder 2 tsp
- Garam masala 2 tsp
- Pepper powder 1 tsp
- Chicken stalk 1 cup
- Coconut milk 1 cup
- Salt, as needed
- Curry leaves 1 or more sprigs
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Clean and slice chicken in to big pieces, make small cuts on it.
Step 2
Pour all the ingredients for grilling to the chicken.
Step 3
Mix it well and add curry leaves on it.
Step 4
Grill it for 20 to 25 minutes.
Step 5
After grilling take out the chicken pieces.
Step 6
Heat a pan and oil to it.
Step 7
Add mustard and when it allow to crackles add dried red chilly to it.
Step 8
Cook it, stirring well and add onion,green chilly to it.
Step 9
Add tomato to it.
Step 10
Cook it, stirring well and then add chilly powder, coriander powder and garam masala and spices to it.
Step 11
Cook it, stirring well.
Step 12
Next, add the grilled chicken to it.
Step 13
Add chicken stalk to it. Close the pan for ten minutes.
Step 14
Next, add the coconut milk to it, let it boil give it a good stir and then off the flame.
Step 15
Our dish is ready to serve.
Tip
Patience at the dry-roasting stage is everything. The longer you let the moisture evaporate, the more concentrated the flavour becomes.
