Achayens 65
Chicken 65 - a tongue tickler and mouth watering dish with a tempting smell.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 1 kg Chicken
- 500 g Curd
- 1 tbsp Chilly powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 Pinches Ajinomotto
- 3 Drops Food colour , red — optional
- Curry leaves leaves of 10 stalks
- Green chillies
Preparation
Step 1
Marinate the washed chicken with curd, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt and refrigerate overnight or 3 hours.
Step 2
Heat up a pan.
Step 3
Add the marinated chicken directly on medium heat.
Step 4
Put the lid on and cook for about 15 minutes or till the chicken is cooked.
Step 5
Do not worry since it will not catch the pan beneath.
Step 6
Add ajinomotto and the optional food colour, only if you would like a bright appearance.
Step 7
Melt butter in a frying pan.
Step 8
Add the chillies and curry leaves and fry, till the curry leaves become dry.
Step 9
Add this mixture on top of the chicken on flame and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 10
Place them on a serving dish.
Step 11
Garnish with a strand of coriander.
Tip
Do not boil the curry hard after adding coconut milk. A gentle simmer is all you need — vigorous boiling can cause the coconut milk to split.
