Wheat Cake
It is too tasty and kids like very much. can use with evening coffee..and is a surprise for guests.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 250 g Wheat
- 250 g Milk
- 250 g Jaggery
- 1 tsp Milk maid
- 1/2 tsp Soda powder
- Nuts for decoration
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
Preparation
Step 1
Add one cup of water to a pan, Add Jaggery and melt the jaggery and filter it.and allow to cool.
Step 2
Mix soda powder with wheat powder. Add milkmaid, vanilla essence and milk to it and mix very well.
Step 3
Pour the jaggery mixture into the Wheat powder and Stir everything together thoroughly until the batter is smooth.
Step 4
Grease the baking pan and pour this mixture into it. Decorate the nuts on the top of the mixture.
Step 5
Preheat oven 180 degree. Put the pan and bake it for 13 minutes.
Step 6
Get it from the oven and cut into pieces. It can be kept in a tight vessel @ room temperature.
Tip
When working with jaggery, always melt and strain it first. Even the best quality jaggery has some grit that needs to be removed.
