Vendakka Pachadi
A traditional Kerala Sadya dish that carries the flavours of coconut, yogurt, and carefully balanced spices. Each component of the feast has its role, and this one brings a quiet, essential balance to the banana leaf.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 100 g Lady`s finger thinly sliced, Vendakka
- 2 nos Green chillies sliced lengthwise
- 4 - Curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 cup Yoghurt
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Pour oil into a pan and heat it.
Step 2
Let the mustard seeds crackle.
Step 3
Add curry leaves, green chillies and lady`s finger.
Step 4
Fry for a few minutes, until lady`s finger turn crispy and light brown.
Step 5
Add turmeric and salt.
Step 6
Turn off the heat after 2 minutes.
Step 7
Add the fried lady`s finger into the yoghurt and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 8
Goes well with rice/ rotis.
