Vendakka Kichadi
It is a nadan dish in kerala.We use to make this vendakka kichadi in all festivals.It is a healthy recipe.It is a recipe. We use to prepare this for onam sadya.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Vendakka ladysfinger
- 2 Onion small
- 1 cup Coconut — grated
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 4 Green chilli
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Curd
- 1 tsp Coconut oil
- 2 Red chilli
- 5 Curry leaf
Preparation
Step 1
Select tender ladysfinger wash wipe and dry cut inti thin slices.,and pan-fry in the oil for 3 minutes until it is brown and crisp.set aside.
Step 2
Grind coconut,cumin seeds,chilly and onion in a mixer.
Step 3
Add this ground mix in the curd and mix.
Step 4
Add this fried ladys finger to this curd mix.Mix all well.
Step 5
Heat the oil in another kadai add mustard,when it allow to crackles add red chilly and curry leaf add to the vendakka curd mix and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 6
Now vendakka kichadi is ready to serve with hot rice and pappad.
Tip
Let the dish rest for a few minutes after cooking. Flavours settle and meld during this time, and the texture often improves.
