Veg Dhum Biriyani
Usually I only prepare non-veg biriyani's.Yesterday I went to a marriage function and had a very tasy vegetable dhum biriyani,it was mouthwatering and superb.Then this weekend I have prepared that biriyani in my home and I wish to share that recipe with you.it has 3 stages first we have to make the rice them vegetable masala and finally the dhum process.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1 kg Ghee rice
- Cauliflower 1 cup
- Carrot 1 cup
- Raw banana 1cup
- Elephant yam 1 cup
- 2 Onio
- Tomato 1 cup
- 3 Chilly 2
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
- 1 cup Soysbean
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1/4 Ts Chilly powder
Preparation
Step 1
Cut the veggies like.
Step 2
Cook the all the ingredients except onion,ginger garlic paste,capsicum,tomato and cauliflower with turmeric powder,red chilly powder and salt to taste.
Step 3
Set a pan over medium heat and pour in the oil and add ginger garlic paste,then add chopped onion and Continue cooking for 5 to 6 minutes.
Step 4
Next, add capsicum,tomato and cauliflower.cover and Let it cook for 10 minutes in medium flame.
Step 5
Add cooked veggies and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 6
Add all powdered masalas and Stir everything together thoroughly.Let it cook for 5 minutes.
Step 7
Add chopped coriander leaves,Stir everything together thoroughly and take it off the heat.
Step 8
Arrange the rice and masala in a vessel.cover the top and Let it cook for 10 minutes in very low flame.
Step 9
Veg dhum biriyani is ready.
Tip
Soak the rice for at least 30 minutes before cooking — this ensures each grain cooks evenly and stays separate in the final dish.
