Trivandrum Chicken Fry Recipe

Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1/2 kg Chicken
- 21/2 tsp Red chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Corn flour
- 1 nos Egg
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tbsp Dry red chilly flakes
- 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp Rice flour
- 1 tbsp Fennel seed
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- Oil — for frying
- Curry leaves One hand full
Preparation
Step 1
Gather and prep all your ingredients before you begin.
Step 2
Marinate the chicken in all the ingredients except oil.
Step 3
Add curry leaves and and keep it refrigerator for at least half an hour.(best to keep it in refrigerator overnight).
Step 4
Pour oil into a kadai and heat it and fry the chicken pieces in medium flame.
Step 5
Trivandrum style chicken Fry is ready.
Tip
Coconut oil is not optional in a Kerala fry. It adds a flavour that no other oil can replicate.
