Sweet Coconut Momos | Steamed and Fried Momos
Today I'm going to share Sweet Coconut Momos, a great momo option for all sweet lovers. Here is my special recipe using coconut and sugar filling. Being a sweetaholic, I felt like giving a twist to the normal veg/meat momo recipe.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 11/2 cup Wheat flour
- 1 cup Coconut — grated
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
- Salt, to taste
- Water, to taste
- 3 tbsp Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Knead the plain flour with salt and water as needed. Divide the dough into small equal portions.
Step 2
Combine grated coconut, sugar and cardamom powder in a plate.
Step 3
Roll each of the balls into a puri and place one tsp of the stuffing in the middle.
Step 4
Bring all the edges into a Momo shape.
Step 5
Steam for 10 minutes and convert into a plate.
Step 6
Again heat 1 tbsp oil in a tawa and pan-fry both the sides.
Step 7
Sweet coconut Momos are ready now.
Tip
When working with jaggery, always melt and strain it first. Even the best quality jaggery has some grit that needs to be removed.
