Spongy Onion Pakora

Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 2 Onion
- 11/2 cup Flour maida
- 2 Green chilly
- Curry leaves, to taste
- 1/4 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp Chilly powder
- Salt, to taste
- Water, to taste
- Oil to fry
Preparation
Step 1
Mix all the ingredients except oil to make a thick batter.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a tawa. Spoon in the pakoras one by one to the hot oil.
Step 3
Fry both sides until golden brown.
Tip
Coconut oil is the default cooking fat in Kerala kitchens. It adds a depth of flavour that other oils simply cannot match in these recipes.
