Spicy King Fish Curry With Coconut
This is the kind of everyday fish curry recipe that you need in your life. Which means that this fish curry is ideal for a weeknight dinner. You can just use whatever seafood is at hand and you have dinner ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 6 Pc King fish
- 2 Tomato
- 3 Chilly
- 1 cup Coconut
- 1 Tspn Chilly powder
- 1/2 Tspn Turmeric powder
- 1 Tspn Coriander powder
- Salt, to taste
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustards
- 1 tsp Fenugreek seed
- 1/2 Fennel seed
- 5 nos Shallots
Preparation
Step 1
Heat the oil in a clay pot and let the mustard seeds crackle and fenugreek seeds.Then add sliced tomato and green chilly.
Step 2
When it has softened,add red chilly powder,turmeric powder and coriander powder.cook until the raw smell goes away.
Step 3
Add water and salt.cover and Bring to a gentle boil.
Step 4
Add fish pieces,Put the lid on and let it go for 5 minutes in medium flame.
Step 5
Make a fine paste out of coconut,shallots,and fennel seeds with little water.
Step 6
Once the fish is cooked Add ground coconut and Stir everything together thoroughly.add water if required.
Step 7
Heat the oil in another plan,add chopped shallots and cook until nice brown in colour and mix it with curry.
Step 8
Spicy King Fish Curry With Coconut is ready.
Tip
Let the curry rest for at least 15 minutes after cooking — the flavours deepen as it sits. Reheated curry almost always tastes better than fresh.
