Simple Tomato Pulisseri
This is a simple tomato pulisseri which you can make when u land up in a place where u don't get coconuts:).
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 1 nos Tomato ripe
- 2 cup Beaten curd in semi thick consistency
- 1 tbsp Chilly powder
- Turmeric powder A pinch
- Salt, to taste
- Curry leaves, to taste
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Cooking Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Set a kadai over medium heat and pour in the oil and let the mustard seeds crackle and curry leaves.
Step 2
Add ripe tomato and cook for a while.
Step 3
Add salt, turmeric powder and chilly powder.
Step 4
Add 1 cup of water and allow it to boil well. Make sure that tomato is cooked well and it turns into a puree form.
Step 5
Finally, add beaten curd and stir continuously for 1 minute and your pulisseri is ready to serve!

Tip
Fresh curry leaves make a genuine difference. Dried curry leaves are a poor substitute — if you cannot get fresh ones, increase the quantity and fry them longer.
