Simple Chicken Sausage Fry
Kerala-style dry fry where chicken is cooked down until all the moisture evaporates and what remains is intensely flavoured, slightly caramelised, and impossibly moreish. Best with parotta or plain rice.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- Chicken Sausage : 4 nos
- Egg : 1 no
- Wheat Flour : 1 tsp
- Pepper powder: 1 tsp
- Salt : A Pinch (for the egg flour mix), for the egg
- Sausages contain salt already
Preparation
Step 1
Cut the sausages into smalls pieces as shown.
Step 2
Beat the egg in a deep bowl.
Step 3
Add the Sausages to this and Stir everything together thoroughly. (Keep for 5 minutes).
Step 4
Enter Step.
Step 5
Add Wheat Flour, pepper powder and Salt to this.
Step 6
Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 7
Fry in hot oil.
Step 8
Serve while still hot.
Tip
Coconut oil is not optional in a Kerala fry. It adds a flavour that no other oil can replicate.
