Simple Chammanthy
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 1 servings
- 2 tbsp Chilly Powder
- Salt, to taste
- Coconut oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Get the red chilly powder to a bowl.
Step 2
Add salt and coconut oil as needed. :-Like a paste, coconut oil is compulsory no other oil can give the real taste.
Step 3
Stir everything together thoroughly with ur hand make a dark color paste.
Step 4
Chammanty ready! :- Best with hot boiled rice.
Tip
Do not rush the onion and shallot frying. The difference between pale onions and properly browned onions is the difference between a flat dish and a flavourful one.
