Semiya Payasam In Kerala Style
Semiya Payasam in Kerala Style is a flavorful dessert very tempting and able to relish your sweet moments. Semiya Payasam is a styled tasty dessert that anyone will whip up in a second.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 2 cup Semiya preferably roasted semiya
- 1 cup Sugar
- 10-12 piece Cashew nuts
- Raisins, as needed
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom make powder
- 4 – Milk
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing the delicious creamy dessert, first fry the cashew nuts and raisins in ghee.
Step 2
When the color of cashew-nuts and raisins turns golden, take it out and set aside.
Step 3
Boil the milk in a vessel.
Step 4
Add sugar and semiya into the boiled milk and stir it well.
Step 5
Boil the mix further for about 10-15 minutes (stir it occasionally).
Step 6
When the semiya is cooked well, add the cardamom powder also into the Payasam and switch off the stove.
Step 7
The Dessert can be garnished with the fried cashew nuts and raisins and serve it.
Tip
Never rush the milk reduction by increasing the heat. Scorched milk adds a bitter undertone that ruins the entire payasam.
