Saucy Chicken Fry
Marinated chicken pieces deep fried and mixed with tomato sauce.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 500 g Chicken — cut into medium sized pieces
- Ginger Little — chopped
- Ghee As reqd — for frying
- 1 nos Tomato — chopped
- Coriander leaves Few — chopped
- 1 tbsp Tomato sauce
- 1/2 tbsp Chilly powder
- Coriander powder A pinch
- Turmeric powder A pinch
- Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
- Lime juice Of 1/2 lemon
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing saucy chicken fry, first prepare a paste of the ingredients for marinade: chilly powder, coriander, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste, lime juice and required salt.
Step 2
Apply the marinade on the washed and drained chicken pieces. Set aside for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Heat ghee in a frying pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces to a golden brown color.
Step 4
Remove the fried chicken pieces from the pan and set aside.
Step 5
In the remaining ghee, fry chopped ginger.
Step 6
Add chopped tomato and cook until tomato is mashed well.
Step 7
Stir in fried chicken pieces, coriander leaves and tomato sauce. cook in low flame for a few minutes.
Step 8
Saucy chicken fry, a Mouth watering recipe, is ready. Serve hot.
Tip
The final handful of curry leaves should go in right at the end, off the heat — they should crackle and crisp in the residual heat.
