Rice Ada
Sweet, rich, and deeply satisfying — this is the snack that shows up at every Kerala celebration, temple festival, and Onam Sadya. Made with jaggery, coconut, and patience.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 1/2 cup Rice flour Ari podi
- 1/4 cup Coconut — grated
- 1 nos Egg
- 4 tsp Sugar
- Water A little
- Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together rice flour, grated coconut, egg and sugar along with a little water.
Step 2
Mix them well to get the consistency of dosa batter.
Step 3
Heat a pan.
Step 4
Smear some oil and put one largespoon of dough and expand it to a circle(just like dosa).
Step 5
Sprinkle some oil on top.
Step 6
Cook on both sides.
Step 7
Goes well with chutney powder. :- Makes 6 dosas.
Tip
Frying the boiled eggs briefly before adding to the curry gives them a golden skin that holds up better in the gravy.
