Raw Rice Dosa
A quick, satisfying dosa that needs minimal prep and delivers maximum crunch. Spread the batter thin for crispy edges, or thick for a softer, chewier centre. Pair with chutney and sambar.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 1/2 cup Raw rice flour
- 1/4 cup Onions — chopped
- 1/4 cup Green peas and shredded carrot
- Salt, to taste
- 1/4 tsp Ghee
- 2 nos Green chillies just for flavour, medium
- Warm water (to mix the rice flour into a thick dough
Preparation
Step 1
Make the dough for dosa by adding warm water, salt, a bit of ghee, chopped onions, carrots and tender green peas and green chillies. (Make the dough in such a consistency that its easy to spread with hand in the kadaidosa kallu).
Step 2
Once a thick dough is made, heat the dosa kallukadai on high heat.
Step 3
Apply oil in the kadai nicely with a clothtissue.
Step 4
Start spreading the dough with wet fingertips so that the dough doesnt stick in ur hands n spreads evenly n nicely and make a desired round.
Step 5
Pour a tsp of oil into the dosa.
Step 6
Put the lid on and cook on medium heat till the bottom of the dosa is crispy.
Step 7
Cook only one side of the dosa.
Step 8
Do not turn it.
Step 9
Take it off the heat. once the dosa is golden brown.
Step 10
Sprinkle coriander leaves if desired.
Step 11
Serve while still hot with peanut and coconut chutney.
Tip
Spread the batter in a quick circular motion from the centre outward. Do not go back over areas you have already spread.
